Welcome
Bethlehem: The Incarnation of Jesus Christ
⇒ Micah (5:2) declares these words: “whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting.” The incarnation was not His beginnings—He is eternal!
· The story of Bethlehem is the story of a miracle.
· God became a man in Bethlehem when Jesus Christ was born.
· Jesus was still 100% God, Yet, He became 100% man.
A. He was the God-Man. Jesus experienced humanity in its fullness. He suffered, He got hungry, He got thirsty, He knew loneliness, He knew grief, He grew weary, He got tired, He slept, He wept, He was rejected, he was betrayed and He died.
B. This story of Bethlehem begs the question: Why did Jesus come to this world? Why would He willingly leave Heaven with all its glories to live in this sin-stained world?
C. Why?
1. To reveal the invisible God - Jn. 1:18; 14:9
2. To fulfill prophecy - Gen. 3:15
3. To become your substitute as a sacrifice for sins - Heb. 2:9; Heb. 10:4, 5, 10, 12.
4. To reconcile man to God - 2 Cor. 5:19; 1 Tim. 2:5, 6
5. To provide an example for believers - 1 Pet. 2:21; 1 Jn. 2:6
6. To provide the believer with a high priest — Heb. 2:17; 3:1
7. To destroy the devil and his works — Heb. 2:14; 1 John 3:8
8. To heal the broken hearted — Luke 4:18
9. To give abundant and eternal life — John 3:16; 36; 10:10

Milford Baptist Church is a family oriented church believing in conservative Christianity. We at MBC believe that Jesus Christ is the prophetic messiah of the Old Testament as follows:
Jesus is the son of God, the Father Almighty, maker of heaven and earth; who was conceived of the Holy Ghost, born of the Virgin Mary; who suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, dead, and buried, descended into hell and on the third day He rose again from the dead.
He ascended into heaven, and sitteth on the right hand of God the Father Almighty. From thence, He shall come to judge, the quick and the dead.
We at MBC believe in the Holy Ghost, the holy church of God, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
